Junip – Line Of Fire, Don’t Step Back

If there is one genre that always tears at my soft spots, it’s that of the Folk Rock system. Give that soulful, picturesque jangle a chance to soar and you’ve won me over 10 times out of 10. It’s with no surprise that I’ve fallen head over heels for the newest effort from the Swedish trio of folk rock wizards, ‘Junip’. The ‘Line Of Fire’ is crossed with crashing strings and an onslaught of percussion, bringing a flurry of good times throughout this new cut as soothing layers meet hell-bent folk resonance. As of April 23rd the triumvirate will join a vast list of self-titled albums and drop their follow-up studio release. If even one other track sounds this good (and I promise you their will be several) I can’t wait to add this album to my favourites for the season. Seriously, I can listen to this track all day, and I just might. The band are giving this single away for free, so grab your copy and get your groove on immediately.

When you hear the sounds, you realize it’s just the wind.
And you notice it matters
Who and what you let under your skin.”
